Track Your Utilities.
Know What You Actually Use.

MeterTrack is a free online tool that helps individuals log electricity, gas, water and fuel meter readings — and compare real consumption against what the utility company charges you.

Your personal utility monitor

MeterTrack is a free web application that lets you log and monitor your home utility meter readings over time. Instead of relying blindly on your energy supplier's bills, you record your own meter values and let MeterTrack calculate your real consumption — giving you full transparency over your electricity, gas, water and fuel usage.

The app is designed for individuals and households who want to take control of their energy spending, verify the accuracy of utility bills, and spot unusual consumption patterns before they become expensive problems.

Electricity Tracking

MeterTrack is designed to be as simple as possible. No app to install, no credit card, no setup complexity.

1
Create a free account
Register with your email and a password. Your account is private — only you can see your data. You can create separate accounts for family members or different properties.
💡 Takes less than 30 seconds
2
Add your meters
Tap + Meter on the home screen. Choose the type (electricity, gas, water, or custom), give it a name, and set the unit. Add as many meters as you need — there's no limit.
💡 Example: "Kitchen Gas", "Main Electricity", "Apartment Water"
3
Log your first reading
Open a meter and tap + Add Reading. Enter the number shown on your physical meter, select the date, and optionally add a note. Repeat this once a month (or more often) for accurate data.
💡 The more readings you add, the more precise the analytics become
4
Set your tariff (optional)
Inside each meter detail screen, enter your price per unit (e.g. 0.18 EUR/kWh). MeterTrack will automatically calculate estimated costs for each monthly period.
💡 Check your energy contract or last bill for the price per unit
5
Log your bills — and check accuracy
Go to the Bills tab and enter what your utility company actually charged you: billing period, billed consumption, and total amount. MeterTrack compares this against your real meter readings and tells you if you're being overcharged, undercharged, or if the bill is accurate.
💡 A difference over 5% is worth investigating with your provider
6
Analyse & export
Visit the Analytics tab to see monthly bar charts, consumption averages, and estimated costs per meter. When you need a full data export, tap the CSV button to download all your readings, monthly summaries, and fuel logs in one file.
💡 CSV works with Excel, Google Sheets, and any spreadsheet app

Common questions

Yes, completely free. No subscription, no hidden fees, no ads. MeterTrack is a personal project built to solve a real problem — tracking utility consumption and verifying bill accuracy.
No installation needed. MeterTrack runs entirely in your browser. On Android or iPhone, you can add it to your home screen via "Add to Home Screen" in Chrome or Safari — it will behave like a native app with its own icon.
Your data is stored securely on the server, linked to your personal account. It is not shared with anyone, not sold, and not used for advertising. Only you can access your readings after logging in.
When you log a bill, MeterTrack looks for your meter readings that bracket the billing period (one reading before the start date and one after the end date). It calculates the actual consumption from those readings and compares it to what your utility company billed you. The difference is shown in units and as a percentage — making it easy to spot overcharging.
Yes. You can add as many meters as you want — electricity, gas, water, or custom types. Each meter has its own history, analytics, and bill comparisons. This is useful for houses with multiple sub-meters, rental properties, or tracking both home and work consumption.
Once a month is enough for good analytics and bill comparison. For more precise tracking — especially if you suspect a leak or unusual consumption spike — weekly readings are better. The app works with any frequency; more readings simply give more accurate monthly breakdowns.
Yes. In the Analytics tab, tap the CSV button to download all your data: raw meter readings, monthly consumption summaries with cost estimates, and fuel logs. The file opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application.
